Founding TCHF of Oregon Board Member Fr. Theodore (Ted) Weber celebrated his 60th anniversary as a priest this year. A fixture in the local Catholic community, Fr. Weber is loved by all that know him. His legacy at Christ the King Church is felt by everyone who has knows him. Beloved patriach of the "Weber Clan", Fr. Weber has performed more weddings and baptisms than one can remember and still maintains a very busy schedule even in his 80's. He was instrumental during the formative years of the TCHF of Oregon working with Peggy Brockamp and the other board members to set up the infrastructure for running a non-profit foundation. Although he has officially (and deservedly) retired from his official duties as vice-president he remains a trusted advisor and spiritual guide for the TCHF.
A short video showing his life and accomplishments as well as rememberances from his sister Janice Pelster, current Christ the King (CTK) priest Msgr. Rick Paperini and TCHF President and long-time friend John Brockamp were very touching.
The TCHF of Oregon was honored to remember Fr. Weber with an engraved brick in the courtyard of the CTK expansion, a plaque on the first rehabilitated well in Creel and a nice bottle of adult beverage. Great thanks for Fr. Weber for his innumerable accomplishments and all of the lives that he has touched over 60 years of service. His brother Jerry as well as many of the extended Weber family were also in attendance. May God Bless You!
