UPDATE: 2014 Fund-An-Item - "Facilities, Health & Safety Upgrades"

As we approach the end of the year and each of the three main chapters of the TCHF hold their annual fundraising events, we want to give a brief update on the 2014 Fund-An-Item (FAI), "Facilities, Health and Safety Upgrades".  We deeply apprecaite the support that you all give each year towards the FAI and think that it is our responsibility to let you know when the project is fulfilled on a timely basis.

If you recall in the years leading up to 2014, some major capital projects were undertaken including the replacement of the X-Ray Room, new oxygen generation equipment, new ambulances, a new playground facility for recovery patients and even basic food staples during those years hit worst by drought. After addressing those major projects, former Mission Director Fr. Guillermo felt the time was right in 2014 to address many of the small pieces of medical equipment essential to the everyday operation of the clinic.  These included:

  • Nebulizer Machines (4)
  • Oximeters for Ambulance (2)
  • Monitors for Rooms (4)
  • Infusion Pumps for Ambulance  (2)
  • Oxygen Concentrator (4)
  • Doppler Machine
  • Column Scales (2)
  • Bath (1)
  • Mixer and Bath Tubes (1)
  • Fridge for Blood Plasma (1)
  • Industrial Washing Machine (2)

The installation of these devices was completed over the course of 2015.  Here are some pics of that equipment:

The clinic is now in full compliance with federal guidelines and able to attend to the basic daily needs of patients.  Thank you again for your support on behalf of all fo the patients, staff and Mission Director Fr. Miguel for your support.
