19th Annual Benefit Results - Saturday, October 7, 2017

Thank you to everyone for attending our 19th Annual Benefit this past Saturday, October 7th.  Once again, Riverside Golf & Country Club here in Portland welcomed us with their customary hospitality.   A full banquet room made for a lively atmosphere enjoyed by all in attendance from age 11 to 97!

19th Annual TCHF Benefit Dinner - Saturday, October 7, 2017

The Tarahumara Children's Hospital Fund of Oregon will be holding our 19th Annual Benefit Dinner on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at the Riverside Golf & Country Club here in Portland.  Invitations will be sent out in July so please watch your mailboxes if you are an existing supporter.  If you are newly interested in attending this event, please contact Peggy at 503-659-4342 for more information and/or to be included in future mailings.

Update From Arianne Wenk, The Commonwealth Medical College MD Candidate

Arianne Wenk is a current medical school student that we met during a trip to Creel in 2012.  We have enjoyed staying in touch with her are she finished her undergraduate studies and moved on to medical school and are so impressed by her dedication not only to medicine but to helping those in need.  Arianne is in communcation with both Fr. Miguel and Fr. David and we hope that she will continue her association with the Mission in Creel or wherever else her interests take her.  Thank you from the TCHF of Oregon and continued success!

Water For Life Project Update from Steve Schneider

The Fund-An-Item for 2015 was “Water for Life”.  Even though the Copper Canyon has seen moderate precipitation in recent years the challenge still remains for dependable and safe access to clean drinking water. A comprehensive scientific survey of the existing conditions is being managed by Schneider Water Services of St.

18th Annual TCHF Benefit - Saturday, October 1, 2016

"What a terrific event!", was heard throughout the dining room as the evening came to a close.  We celebrated our 18th Annual Benefit this past Saturday at the Riverside Golf & Country Club with about 160 supporters in attendance.  Mission Director, Fr. Miguel Quintanilla, S.J. was in attendance but our old friend Fr. David Ungerldeider was not able to attend due to prior commitments.

TCHF of Oregon Honors Fr. Theodore Weber for Lifetime Service

Founding TCHF of Oregon Board Member Fr. Theodore (Ted) Weber celebrated his 60th anniversary as a priest this year.  A fixture in the local Catholic community, Fr.
